Tim Walker, the Story Teller.

Tim Walker is a magician. He grows cakes on trees, blooms colorful balloons on the facades of English mansions and drives knitted cars. This men has the gift to transform editorials for Vogue into tales and top models into fairies.
Born in 1970, he now lives in London. At 24, he obtained the 3rd prize in a competition of young fashion photographers, and flew to NYC, "the best place to become a assistant". He then worked for Richard Avedon for 10 months, he was  fired as the famous photographer was very demanding, however this short experience opened doors to him.
In 1995 he shot his first series for Vogue UK, which turned into a long lasting relationship as he's still working today for VOGUE UK, U.S. and Italy. He also did ads for "Juicy Couture", "Miss Dior Cherie" and "Hermes".
Tim Walker insists on the authenticity of his works, "Everything is real!". None of his photos is helped by photomontage, cats are actually pink and yellow, Lily Cole's fishes are really giant, and there's a boat physically in the library. He is not fascinated by the high-tech photography and likes nothing better than natural light.

Spring Birth.

It seems like the sun will finally be around. We can put back our wool pull in the closet, and go out with some lighter clothes without getting a cold. Thanks to those nicer days, my dressing is having a little change.
My latest items are blazers, of which I roll up the sleeves most of the time, some striped blue and white tops (Mademoiselle Chanel would be very pleased by that trend since she's one of those who created it), a long light white shirt with 3/4 sleeves, a sailor cap and some cute necklaces I use to accessories my outfits with, which became more sober, less crowded.
(If you're looking for nice jewelry, I advise you the online shop of Les Jumelles or Etsy.)
I bought the necklace above from Les Jumelles.

Alexander McQueen is my Hero.

Most of you probably already knows this, Lee Alexander McQueen has gone thursday 11th of February 2010. I guess that the disappearance of this amazing designer didn't really touch the people who aren't really familiar to the fashion world, even if he took a lot of people's attention with his outstanding futurist shoes during Spring/Summer 2010's Fashion Week. (Lady GaGa is wearing a total outfit from this collection in her videoclip "Bad Romance") However, it mattered to me to do a little something about him, in writing this article, so the readers who might don't know him could have a look on a part of the fantastic universe of this genius.
Alexander McQueen is a really surprising designer, called the "Hooligan of Fashion", he knew how to amaze everyone every season.

"Born in March, 17th 1969 in England, he quite school when he's 16 to work on Savile Row, a street in London known for her men tailors. He works as an assistant for some tailors until 1994, when he get into the Central Saint Martin's art school, where he gets his diploma and his all final year's collection bought by Isabella Blow, a fashion critique. It's the beginning of his career, he succeed Galliano at the head of Givenchy, and then work for his own brand after the Gucci Group bought a part of his company.
He received 4 times the British Best Designer Award, and some other prestigious ones."
